Exhaust Actuator overhauling
Overhauling and Re-charging of accumulators
Alpha lubricator overhauling
Pneumatic system overhauling
Overhauling of main starting valve & slow turning valve with actuators
ELFI ELVA FIVA valve overhauling and calibration
Replacement of hydraulic hoses
Spider coupling element replacement of start-up pumps
Checking ECS parameter for each range and limit
Inspection of electric system
Function test of HCU and tacho system
Cabling and low insulation inspection
FUEL BOOSTER UNIT OVERHAULING of ME-C / ME-B ENGINES
Removal of fuel booster unit from engine, thoroughly clean and inspection.
Replacing all relevant O-rings and sealing rings both fuel oil side and hydraulic side.
Close inspection and measurement of plunger and barrel.
Connection check between plunger and umbrella.
Replacing of throttle valve.
Replacing of suction valve.
Cleaning and inspection of fuel high pressure pipes sealing surfaces make sure correct seating and prevent leakage.
EXHAUST VALVE ACTUATOR OVERHAUL OF ME-C / ME-B ENGINES
Removal, cleaning and inspection of exhaust valve actuator components.
Close up inspection of step-one and step-two pistons and cylinder for cavitation.
Overhauling or testing the check valves.
Replacing of the all o-ring and seal groups.
OVERHAUL AND INSPECTION OF ALPHA LUBRICATORS OF ME-C / ME-B ENGINES
Removal and cleaning the lubricators.
Open-up lubricator for checking internal parts.
Replacing non-return valves.
Replacing feedback sensors.
Replacing solenoid valves.
Replacing solenoid valve cable and plug.
Replacing O-rings and seals.
Assembling of lubricator on engine and test for leaks.
Checking condition of cylinder lubricator piping, controls, connection, feed rate adjustment, checking the lubrication through scavenge ports.
PNEUMATIC MANEUVERING SYSTEM OVERHAUL ME-C / ME-B ENGINES
Overhauling of the pneumatic valves in the system with repair kits.
Overhauling of pressure reducing unit.
Overhauling of starting air distributor (ME-B Engines only).
Overhauling of main starting valve, slow turning valve, and actuators.
Simulating the system.
OVERHAULING OF HCU ACCUMULATORS
Removal, cleaning, and inspection of the accumulator components.
Overhauling and charging the accumulator with nitrogen (Incorrect N2 pressure may result in incorrect injection timing and exhaust valve opening or hydraulic pressure fluctuations in the HPS. This will initiate alarms and, in more severe cases, slowdown of the engine itself).
REPLACEMENT OF SPIDER AND COUPLING FOR START-UP PUMP
REPLACEMENT OF HYDRAULIC HOSE
ELFI ELVA FIVA OVERHAUL AND CALIBRATION
Replacement of O-rings and seals.
Close-up inspection.
Replacement and calibration of the feedback sensor (Except Curtis Wright valves).
Replacement of 4/3 way control/proportional valve.
Function test after completion of maintenance.
CHECKING ECS PARAMETER FOR EACH RANGE AND LIMIT- CABLING INSPECTION
Inspection Items
MPC (including ECS Parameter)
Power supply unit
Cabling inspection and low insulation
HCU (FIVA, Inductive sensor etc.)
HPS (Swash plate, driven pump)
Tacho system (Encoder, Trigger ring)
Interlock test Hydraulic (Build up time, leakage test)
Safety test (Slow down, Shut down)
HYDRAULIC PUMPS
It is recommended to overhaul the hydraulic pumps every 32,000 R/H and proportional valves every 20,000 R/H (Ref. SL2017-644).
